Don’s Vision

Their names are so familiar

We know their story well.

Their faith is so compelling

Still ringing like a bell.

They gathered for a supper

With Christ, the chosen one.

Not knowing at that moment

The trial that was to come.

They each proclaimed their love

When they heard the startling news.

That one was a betrayer

With an offer he couldn’t refuse.

And Leonardo’s vision

Still lives for all to see.

In many forms and mediums

A joy for you and me.
